NBI Online registration is designed for people who have difficulty of getting NBI Clearance because the queue is long and the process is lengthy. An application form and registration can be filled out online through the NBI Clearance.
By doing this, you don’t have to register and apply at the NBI Clearance Office and wait in a long line to get your NBI Clearance. Those with NBI HIT status can get it for about two weeks or up to 15 days. It is now easier to obtain an NBI Clearance today than it was in the past. If you have a computer with internet access, you can make an NBI Online Registration without waiting in line for hours.
NBI Online Registration
Registration for the National Bureau of Investigation or clearance online is done online and fully managed by the bureau .You agree to give your personl information to be saved and used for investigating derogatory records according to RA 10867 when you register in NBI Online.
According to President Duterte, Republic Act 11261 will waive the document fee for first time job seekers applying for NBI Online Registration. In addition to the NBI Clearance, other government agencies also require it.
You can access this through the internet on your computer, moblie phone and tablet. You no longer need to go to the NBI Clearance Office. You can register and apply for NBI Online using your device that has internet access. Visit the NBI Clearance website, fill out the form with your personal information, and follow the instructions.
How To Apply For NBI Online Registration?
To utilize the NBI Clearance Online Registration and Application Services, you must have access to a computer, mobile phone, or tablet.
NBI Online Registration provides two types of websites. The first one is https://firsttimejobseekers.nbi.gov.ph/, specifically designed for first-time job seekers. This platform is intended for individuals who are applying for their first NBI Clearance as part of their employment requirements.
Additionally, you may apply for NBI Clearance through https://clearance.nbi.gov.ph/ for the regular or multipurpose clearence, or if you have already applied for NBI Clearance for the first time but want to apply a second or more time.
First Time Job Seekers NBI Requirement
It’s not too difficult to get a job as a first-time applicant. In order to prove your identity at the NBI Clearance office, all you need is a Barangay Certificate.
Multipurpose NBI Clearance Requirements
You need to present two valid IDs issued by the government such as:
- Unified Multi-Purpose ID (UMID)
- Passport
- Driver’s License
- Birth Certificate authenticated by PSA (original copy)
- ETCETERA
- And others….
NOTE:For NBI clearances, a Non-Government ID and a Barangay Clearance are not acceptable.
In this section, you will find step-by-step screenshots on how to apply online for NBI registration.Here are the details:
Step 1. Registration website
Those interested in applying for a job should go to the NBI Online Registration website, http://firsttimejobseekers.nbi.gov.ph/ or http://clearance.nbi.gov.ph/. For first-time job seekers as well as second-time applicants, this tutorial is the same.
First-time job seekers pay nothing, while second-timers have to pay, and there is no question about YES or NO about whether you have NBI clearance since 2014. There are no differences in other items other than that.
As shown in the picture, the NBI applicant already has an NBI Clearance, but the old NBI Clearance has been lost.
In this step, if you have been issued an NBI Clearance from 2014 to the present, you can check the “NO” option. Then, fill in all the boxes with your personal information.
Next, check the box indicating that you have read and accepted the terms of service, and also check the box confirming that you are not a robot. Then, click on the “SIGN UP” button.
If you have an old NBI Clearance issued from 2014 to the present and you have not yet registered for NBI Online registration, you can select “YES”. Fill in the required information and enter your old NBI ID Number.

Once you have finished entering your information in the provided fields, both first-time job seekers and second-time applicants can click on either “PROCEED” or “SIGN UP” to continue.
Step 2. NBI OTP or One Time Password
After clicking SIGNUP or PROCEED, OTP will appear.
The OTP or One-time Password is essential to complete your NBI Online Registration. You will receive the OTP on your mobile phone number.
Note: Please ensure that you enter your NBI Online registration OTP within 5 minutes, as it will expire after this time. If the OTP expires, you will need to request a new one.

To proceed to the next step, enter the six-digit OTP received from your mobile phone into the NBI Online Registration.
Step 3. How To Fill up the Application Information
Application Information is additional personal information you need to fill out – all fields with an asterisk are mandatory, and cannot be left blank. Here is an example.
As you can see in the above picture, additional information needs to be filled out. It is possible to click on the downward filled arrow in the image displayed.
For example, if you have selected “MARRIED” in the Civil Status field, you can change it by clicking on the downward-filled arrow (▼) and selecting “Single” in the Application Information section of the NBI Online Registration form.
Once you have completed filling out all the Application Information, click the “SAVE INFORMATION” button. This will generate a summary of the information you have provided.
Ensure that you review all the information for accuracy. If you need to make any changes, click on “EDIT INFORMATION“, update the necessary details, save the changes, and then click “APPLY FOR CLEARANCE
Step 4. Valid IDs
After completing the NBI Online registration, you must present a valid ID at the NBI Clearance Office. This valid ID will serve as proof of your identity when claiming your NBI Clearance.
After the APPLY FOR CLEARANCE, you need to choose which ID available you have to present in the NBI Clearance Office.

In order to view the Appointment Schedule, select a valid ID and click “I Agree.”.
Step 5. How to Make an NBI Appointment Schedule
The NBI Appointment Schedule for Clearance is accessible online. Once you have registered on the NBI Clearance website, you can schedule or select an appointment date, branch, and time to visit the NBI Clearance Office.
Depending on what you select in NBI Online Registration, you will receive an appointment schedule.
When selecting an NBI branch, it’s best to choose the nearest and most convenient one for you. Appointment slots are available from Monday to Friday, from AM to PM. Please note that appointments are not available on Saturdays and Sundays.
For example:
- Branch: NBI Main Office
- Date: April 30, 2024 (Monday)
- Time: 9:00 AM
Step 6. How to Pay NBI Online Registration
Online registration would not be complete without paying your NBI clearance. You have not done so yet after scheduling an appointment online.
It’s up to you to decide what method of payment you want to use for NBI Online Registration, and we’re going to give you a variety of options.
The NBI Online Registration offers six payment options:
- Bank Over the Counter
- Online Bank
- Bayad Center Outlets
- Bayad Center Mobile App
- ECPay
- 7-Eleven
As an example, here is a picture of a payment.
To pay for your NBI Clearance, follow these steps:
- Choose a payment option from the six available options.
- After selecting your preferred payment option, a small window will appear with a reminder.
- Click on the “PROCEED” button to generate a Reference Number.
To pay at Bayad Center, please use the following reference number sample.
Make sure that you bring your Reference number when you pay your NBI Clearance and ask the guard for assistance upon entering the Bayad Center or LBC branch.

Step 7. Personal Appearance
It will be necessary for you to appear at the NBI Clearance Office when the appointment date arrives. Why? You will need to submit a photograph, fingerprints, and biometrics before you can receive your NBI clearance. It can be sent door-to-door, unlike when you renew NBI Clearance
- If you are applying for clearance at the NBI Clearance Office, here is what you need.
- To process your NBI Clearance, you will need two valid IDs – a non-government ID and a barangay clearance are not acceptable.
- Please do not wear Sando or sportswear to the event. We recommend you wear a semi-formal or formal dress, or a Polo-shirt is fine as well
- It is important that you bring your NBI Clearance receipt with you – The NBI Clearance receipt proves that you have paid the clearance fee.
Step 8 . In the NBI Clearance Office, what should you do?
When you arrive at the NBI Clearance office, it is best to ask the NBI Clearance personnel before moving. If you are going to start at a specific window, the NBI personnel will give you instructions
